There’s
a world debut awaiting visitors to the CTShow, as leading
notebook manufacturer Iridium have confirmed that they will
be using the event to premier the most cutting edge portable
solution on the market. With unprecedented battery life,
offering up to a 70% increase on existing technologies,
the Starbook 750 is to be the first
notebook available to the channel that utilises Intel’s
revolutionary Centrino™ mobile technology.
The
Starbook 750 is a winning marriage of cutting edge computing
with Iridium’s renowned expertise in the portables
arena. Featuring Intel’s most advanced technology
for the mobile market, Intel® Centrino™ mobile
technology, the Starbook 750 will provide users with extended
system battery life and integrated wireless LAN capability
in a lightweight notebook design, together with outstanding

The
Starbook 750 will be showcased on Stand No CT820 at the
Birmingham based event where visitors will be able to get
hands-on with the unit, which marks a major advance in portable
computing.

Working
in partnership with Intel Corporation, Iridium is basing
its stand design on promoting the benefits of this breakthrough
in notebook computing to the channel at CTShow 03.
In order
to demonstrate how mobile users can increase productivity
whilst on the move by connecting through wireless LAN, Iridium
will be designating a proportion of its stand space to allow
for the provision of a lifestyle café environment
to demonstrate the benefits of Intel® Centrino™
Mobile technology to the channel. The café will act
as a public hotspot area allowing visitors to get connected
at the show.
Decorated
in a typical café style with hot and cold refreshments
being served, this area will act as a meeting point for
Iridium, its distributors and customers to do business and
give product presentations. A number of Iridium wireless
notebooks will be made available for visitors to go on-line,
book hotel accommodation and check their email etc at the
show.
