GOOD-LUCKING BRIGHT NEW THING
Projectors
are everywhere these days, except in my lounge sadly. Pop into
any high street that sell televisions and lo and behold, if it’s
a decent store there should be a projector showing off a top movie.
Likewise,
head for any decent boardroom, look up, and there above you in
the ceiling there should be a projector ready and waiting to spring
into Powerpoint action.
In a nutshell,
those two paragraphs tell you why you should be selling projectors
- there is a growing home corporate market offering a great opportunity
for sales.
Everyone
wants one
How things
have changed. A couple of years ago, a projector vendor tried
very hard over lunch to make the market for projectors sound interesting.
Business at that time was trickling in from various places, including
blue chips and churches.
Now everyone
wants one. So, having established that there is a market for the
technology, let’s talk about what is available and what
you should be selling. That’s where CTS comes to the rescue.
Right now,
there are plenty of options available. On one level, that can
be a good thing in that it provides you with a great deal of choice.
But on the negative side, it also creates a great deal of confusion.
Monitor manufacturers,
television vendors and a host of others have got involved, all
of which you need to distinguish between. The best advice surely
must be to pick a respectable brand then have a close look at
the specs.
The Iridium
Starlite LM95 is a very good place to start from to study the
market. One of the key measurements of a successful projector
has to be the brightness it offers and only last year the standard
was 1000 ANSI. Now the bar has been raised to 2000 ANSI. Now that
is bright.
The other
thing that matters is not just how bright the projector is, but
the quality it offers. It’s no good blinding everyone with
fantastic colours if they can’t quite make out what it is
they are meant to be seeing.
Looking
good
The Starlite
comes with its own Micro Tuning Technology, which means users
should have no problem getting the images to look right. Add to
that the product’s colour accuracy and it is already a wining
combination.
What seals
it though is the ease of use for setting up and the Starlite’s
sophisticated design - whether destined for a boardroom or for
a front room, a projector needs to look good itself as well as
make images look good.
These products
are only just starting to show their true potential and for those
that can get in on the market now, it will be an enjoyable, but
hard work filled, year ahead. The market is growing at such a
pace that there should be enough business to fill a fair few order
books.
We have no
hesitation in recommending the Starlite LM95 - it has the specs
to match the best in the field and offers an extremely competent
product for those looking for a projector.
